The St. Petersburg Housing Authority (SPHA) is excited to be featured in the Spring 2026 issue of Affordable Housing News. The article highlights SPHA's commitment to expanding residents' opportunities through education, workforce development, financial coaching, and youth programming.

The article showcases how SPHA has built a diverse portfolio of resident services designed to help families move beyond housing stability and toward long-term self-sufficiency. From entrepreneurship and STEM education programs to homeownership support and career exploration initiatives, SPHA continues to create pathways that help residents build skills, confidence, and future opportunities.

"It's a top priority for our agency to foster our residents to move through the continuum of housing. Our goal is not simply to provide housing, but to create opportunities for our residents," says Danielle Thomas, COO and Senior Vice President at SPHA. "For many of our residents, SPHA housing is a starting point, a place of stability that allows them to regroup and plan their next steps. We want our residents to see a pathway forward, whether that means pursuing education, building savings, or eventually becoming homeowners. Supporting movement through the continuum of housing is part of how we measure long term impact. It reflects growth, confidence, and independence for the families we serve."
