SPHA Empowers FSS Participants Through Education & Career Resource Workshop
SPHA Education & Career Resource Workshop, April 14, 2026.
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The St. Petersburg Housing Authority (SPHA) organized an Education & Career Resource Workshop on April 14, 2026, for participants in its Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program. The event was held at The Legacy at Jordan Park.
Community partners including Hope Villages of America, The Hub, St. Petersburg College (SPC), and Pinellas Technical College (PTC) attended to discuss educational programming, scholarship opportunities, workforce development resources, career pathways, and mental health support services.
SPHA's Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program is a voluntary program available to all participants receiving HUD Section 8 Rental Assistance or living in Public Housing who wish to improve their financial situation, eliminate their dependence on public assistance, and are motivated to change their lives. The program emphasizes educational and vocational training that leads to full-time consistent employment.
