SPHA Hosts STEM Education After-School Programming for SPHA Youth
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The St. Petersburg Housing Authority (SPHA) is proud to host STEM education programming for youth living in SPHA communities.
In April 2026, SPHA's Gulf Futures 3D initiative successfully launched its second cohort of after-school programming.
The Gulf Futures 3D Program is designed to build scientific and environmental literacy through innovative, hands-on learning experiences for youth.
SPHA's Gulf Futures 3D initiative is funded through a $740,860 grant from the Gulf Research Program (GRP) of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.
SPHA is the leading affordable housing provider in the city of St. Petersburg, serving more than 4,000 low-income households. SPHA's mission is to provide safe, sanitary, accessible, decent, and affordable housing to eligible citizens of the city of St. Petersburg, while enhancing and promoting resident self-sufficiency.
