SPHA Participates in Pinellas County Public Information Officer Meeting

People at Pinellas County Public Information Officer Meeting in Largo.

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. - St. Petersburg Housing Authority (SPHA) Director of Communications, Nick Fokianos, participated in the Pinellas County Public Information Officer (PIO) meeting, held at the new Dr. Michael A. Grego Leadership Institute in Largo on November 3, 2025.

The meeting brought together communications professionals from government agencies and organizations across the Tampa Bay area to share insights and strengthen collaboration.

The agenda featured presentations from the Tampa International Airport Communications team, who shared best practices from their industry-leading social media channels; Pinellas County Schools, which discussed their strategic approach to marketing; and Pinellas County Government, which provided updates on the People First Hurricane Recovery Programs.

The event provided a valuable opportunity for local public information officers to exchange ideas and explore innovative ways to enhance communication.
