SPHA Partners with PAL for Throw Back to School Bash at Jordan Park
On Saturday, September 15, 2018, the St. Petersburg Housing authority (SPHA) teamed up with the Police Athletic League (PAL), the Pinellas County Urban League, The Edible Peace Patch Project, WEDU PBS, and the St. Petersburg Midtown Rotary Club to throw a Back to School Bash for the community of St. Petersburg.
The SPHA got behind this initiative to throw a Back to School Bash in Jordan Park on Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., inviting the community and families to join them in a day of celebrating the Fall back to school season with fun activities, great giveaways and a chance to meet everyone’s favorite super reader, Super Why!
Families were treated to an exciting afternoon of games, arts and crafts, an interactive learning center and food. The event was attended by approximately 40 participants (30 youth and 10 adults), and was a great opportunity for the community to come together to celebrate another year of growth and learning.
