ST. PETERSBURG, FL - The St. Petersburg Housing Authority (SPHA) held a sensational Back to School Event in Jordan Park on August 8th, 2023. SPHA joined forces with the NFL Alumni Association to orchestrate an unforgettable evening for Jordan Park families!

Alumni NFL players and cheerleaders graced the event, providing inspiration and motivation to the children in attendance.
The highlight of the evening was the gracious donation of backpacks and school supplies through a collaborative effort between the NFL Alumni Tampa Bay Chapter, Hope Alive Outreach, and Aetna.
"Without us working together as a community, many kids would go to school when it opens without the supplies that they need," said Michael Lundy, SPHA President and Chief Executive Officer. "It's important to have a good start when they go back to school, and to have the supplies, and the community coming out to help our kids, it doesn't get a whole lot better than that. The kids are our future."
A thrilling tree climb, courtesy Pathfinder Outdoor Education, added an exhilarating touch to the festivities. Young adventurers conquered new heights under the watchful eyes of skilled professionals, igniting their adventurous spirits!
The Tampa Bay Watch Discovery Center brought marine life education to the forefront with interactive activities, allowing kids to immerse themselves in the wonders of marine conservation. Learning became a hands-on adventure!
And what's a memorable event without delicious food? Our friends at Domino's Pizza generously provided pizza!
