About the Founder of the Platform:
Buy it Rent it PROFIT Education™ was founded by Bryan Chavis, a Simon & Schuster best-selling author, award-winning housing consultant, and one of only a few individuals with a real estate book housed in the U.S. Library of Congress. In 2024, he was ranked #8 Entrepreneur in the Nation by USA Reporter, recognized for his groundbreaking work in real estate education. Chavis created the platform to level the playing field, giving independent landlords and rental investors access to the same tools, technology, and training once reserved for large institutions. His mission is to build a community rooted in collaboration-because better-equipped landlords create stronger, more efficient housing, which leads to healthier, more stable communities.
About the Partnership:
SPHA President and CEO Michael Lundy shared his enthusiasm for the initiative: "We are proud to partner with Buy it Rent it PROFIT Education™. This partnership underscores our commitment to empowering our HCV landlords with the best possible tools and resources to succeed," said Lundy.
"At the St. Petersburg Housing Authority, we believe that innovation should be purposeful," said Lundy. "Investing in landlord education and real-time support systems allows us to expand opportunities and attract more landlords to participate in our housing programs. This initiative demonstrates our ongoing commitment to leading the charge in finding innovative solutions to the affordable housing crisis."
"We're excited to offer this platform as a free resource to our HCV landlord partners," Lundy added. "By doing so, we're making it easier for them to manage properties, improve tenant relations, and succeed in ways that benefit both their business and the families they serve."
SPHA's partnership with Buy it Rent it PROFIT Education™ fits the agency's mission to increase more affordable housing opportunities while strengthening communities. As a leader in the housing sector, the agency continues to prioritize innovative solutions to support both landlords and residents in addressing housing challenges.
