Free Landlord Training Workshops

The housing authority hosts free landlord workshops to introduce interested area landlords to the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program. Through the Section 8 program, SPHA serves more than 3,000 individuals and families, putting more than $18 million in housing assistance payments into St. Petersburg’s local economy annually.

SPHA provides landlords with a two-part informational packet that explains the program in-depth and gives guidelines for participation. Becoming an SPHA Landlord

To set up your account with SPHA, please fill out the forms listed below and submit them to the St. Petersburg Housing Authority, Re: New Landlord Documents, 300 10th Street South, St. Petersburg, FL 33705, or fax to 727-328-6699.

In order for SPHA to process an address change, please fill out the forms listed below and submit them to the St. Petersburg Housing Authority, Re: Change of Address, 300 10th Street South, St. Petersburg, FL 33705, or fax to 727-328-6699.

Listing Availabilities

If you would like to advertise your property and list availabilities, please register online with www.floridahousingsearch.org or call 1-877-428-8844. You will receive a username and password with simple user instructions. Then, you will need to log in to www.floridahousingsearch.org and add your available property listings, including amenities, features and photos. The Socialserve.com call center will respond to you within 48 hours of the time your registration is submitted to answer any questions regarding listing your properties.

 

Certification of Repairs Made

If your unit has failed inspection twice (and is going on Abatement), you will need to fill out this Certification of Repairs Made form (PDF) and submit it to our office at the address on the form or via fax, so that a third inspection can be scheduled. (For zip codes 33711 and 33712, you must submit the form to us, and we will contact McCright.)

 

Request for Rental Increase

Landlords are required to submit the following form to SPHA for approval of any proposed tenant rent increases. The form must be received by SPHA at least sixty days prior to the effective date of the rent increase, or the request will be denied.
