Darrell J. Irions, Chief Executive Officer

In 1995, Darrell Irions joined the St. Petersburg Housing Authority (SPHA), relocating to Pinellas County from Chicago, where he worked as Chief Administrator for Operations and as the Chief Administrative Officer at the Chicago Housing Authority. A seasoned housing administrator, Mr. Irions also held senior management positions at housing authorities in Denver, Colorado and Lincoln, Nebraska. Today, Darrell Irions is nationally recognized as one of the housing industry’s leading experts.

Having served in active and reserve duty capacities as an officer in the United States Marine Corps, Darrell Irions was appointed by President George W. Bush to serve on the worldwide Board of Governors of the USO.

Darrell Irions is a graduate of the University of Nebraska, where he completed his undergraduate and graduate studies in psychology.
