About The Board

The St. Petersburg Housing Authority (SPHA) is governed by a seven-member Board of Commissioners, responsible for oversight and policy-making. Appointed by the Mayor of St. Petersburg and subject to confirmation by the St. Petersburg City Council, commissioners are volunteers who serve four-year terms.

Board Meetings

The next regular board meeting will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2010.

SPHA Board of Commissioners meetings are open to the public and are held at the St. Petersburg Neighborhood Housing Services, 1600 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street South, St. Petersburg, Florida.

Regular board meetings are held at 2:00 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of the month, except in July and December.

 

Committee Meetings

SPHA Committee meetings are open to the public and are held at the St. Petersburg Neighborhood Housing Services, 1600 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street South, St. Petersburg, Florida.

  • The Residents’ Interests Committee meetings are held on the Wednesday prior to the board meeting at 12:30 p.m.
  • The Finance Committee meetings are held on the Wednesday prior to the board meeting at 1:00 p.m.
  • As needed, the Property Acquisition Committee or the Personnel Committee meets on the Wednesday prior to the board meeting at 2:00 p.m., unless otherwise indicated.

The committee meeting schedule may change and the dates and times may vary from time to time per the committee chair.
