Risk Control Policy
The safety and well-being of SPHA residents, guests and employees is very important. SPHA’s safety programs are designed to abide by all applicable laws and regulations. Our risk management procedures have been established to promote and ensure the highest level of safety. Copies of emergency preparedness plans, self inspection programs, and preventive maintenance programs are located at all Property Management and Human Resources Offices. Please report all unsafe conditions to SPHA Property Managers, the Human Resources Officer, or Safety Committee members.
Investment in Future Affordable Housing
Using the proceeds from the sale of the Graham/Rogall buildings, SPHA plans to acquire or develop
more public and affordable housing properties throughout our
jurisdictional area, which encompasses the city of St.
Petersburg and a 10-mile radius outside
of the city. Our staff, including a licensed real estate agent, currently
is working to identify potential properties. SPHA's goals are to provide a wider variety of housing options for low-income families, to reduce the concentration of poverty in some areas of the city per HUD regulations, to encourage residents’ access to jobs, and and to encourage residents to pursue education.
Please check this page regularly for updated information about SPHA's affordable housing properties.
